Excellent cell phone holder.
After trying many other types of cell phone holders, I was very happy with this one. I use this in my 2014 F-150 and it works great. It is very easily adjustable with just the turn of the nut on top, the base expands to fit many sizes and locks it in place, no worries about it moving around or coming out. The vertical post is flexible to make the exact angle and placement of your phone possible. You can also rotate you phone 360 degrees. To secure your phone, just place it on the pad and squeeze the sides to lock it in place. To remove your phone, just push the button and the grippers expand out, releasing your phone. Solid construction, but is too low
I drive a stick shift, and the cup where this has to be is right next to the gear shift. It is so low that if it's turned so that I can see it, It knocks into the gear shift. Needs to have a higher step. Also, mine does not have a flexible neck like the one shown in the photo, which might help the problem described above.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great to hold GPS
This is my third Macally cup holder mount. The first was an early version and still in service. I use them to hold GPS units. I live where the windshield suction mounts are illegal and they are not very reliable in any case. The GPS units I use are 4.3" and 5" Garmins and the Macallys have no trouble holding them. Never had one come loose. I like that the expansion to grip the vehicle cup holder is very smooth. The neck bends but it takes some force to do it, so they can support some weight without drooping. The only criticism I have is the neck does not rotate in the base. It is convenient to have the holder swivel to allow the passenger to see the GPS and make entries. With the Macally it requires the phone or GPS to be removed from the mount to allow the pasenger to have access. Otherwise a well built, reliable, and easy to use mount. If you have a vehicle with a cup holder in the right place these a great way to mount a GPS or a smart phone.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Phone cup holder
I like the phone holder and it serves my purposes well. It fits a little loosely in my cup holder but works fine except when I bump it accidentally. It has a tighten and loosen diagram on it but it doesn't seem to turn. For the price it is great.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Works great in a golf cart
My phone (Galaxy S4) has my golf GPS app (Skydroid). I tried a holder with a window suction cup, but it fell off due to rough cart paths. This fits tightly into the cup holder and totally eliminates the possibility of it falling off the cart. The wings grip the phone sufficiently to hold it in place, and I can angle it so both the driver and passenger can see the yardage. The adjustment to expand the base to fit the cup holder is super simple to connect and disconnect. Perfect for this application. AWESOME Phone Holder!
This is a GREAT Item! It is well made.. seems very durable.. better than most I've seen/tried. It's soooo easy to use.. will fit very snug in cup holder.. holds the phone perfectly (with or without a case) ...can be adjusted to any desired angle.. and does't obstruct phones ports/buttons. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S5 I use mine in a 2012 Toyota Highlander.. which has 4 cup holders in the center console. It doesn't get in the way of my shifter, or the use of the other cup holders. Easy access and fingertip reach

Awesome Product!
It is a pretty great product. It works well and very easy to use. The base fits well and snug in the cup holder once you tighten the bottom. The arm can bend to whatever you like and its pretty tough since its made out of metal. The holder your phone goes into is nice. It has foam backing and thick rubber on the sides that you can adjust to fit your phone snug or what I did with mine just a bit loose so I can just slide my phone in and out of it. Suprisingly well designed. Moveable neck has thick metal core instead of the usual thin wire. The adjustable device clamp is adequate, although if a part is going to fail, it would be this.
