    Would recommend growing the Shirely F1 variety from seed.

    I grew the Shirley tomato after I purchased a small plant from a local garden centre during the summer of 2022 in Scotland. I had a bumper crop (suitable for growing for a greenhouse or outdoors), I grew mine in a felt grow bag in coir compost). The Shirely has a beautiful sweet flavour from its fruit, its juicy and this prompted me to grow the F1 variety for the next 2023 season. I would reccomend this variety as it doesn't disappoint.

    Difficult to rate seeds as they have not been grown yet, but I purchased from this supplier last year and the results were good. The problem with F1 seeds is they are difficult to produce. Any cross fertilisation can change them completely. This supplier was reliable so I am hopeful again. It can be very frustrating when you lose a whole season because seed was not true to type.
