High expectations but it just wasn't that great
might seem sad but for a while now, being an induction cooker home, I have relished at the idea of buying a hot plate to finally put to use the many cookware which can not be used on my regular cooker. I was saddened that when I turned this on the heat wasn't enough to cook what was needed, it was as if all the heat just escaped. Also the coating on the top began to burn and it made a stink. I've put it to one side to be an emergency cooker but I doubt I'd be using it again. I would stick with my induction cooker.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great little cooker!
A very handly little cooker this. I've only used it half a dozen times in the couple of weeks since I bought it, but it seems to do everything I want it to. The description says it's "6 Temperature Control", but they don't seem to be preset temperatures, the knob is infinitely adjustable and the markings are just there as a guide, so fine control of the temperature is possible. There are only two minor downsides to it, firstly although it's pretty easy to clean it would have been even easier if the top of the hob had been smooth instead of grooved like a very coarse gramophone record, and secondly although I've only used it, and cleaned it, half a dozen times, some of the numbers on the control knob are starting to wear off. Those two minor inconveniences aside, it's a very useful and efficient little cooker, and I'd have no hesitation in recommending it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This is a versatile hotplate, I only wish I had bought one sooner. For a single person like myself it cooks all my one pot meals, it is quick and easy to keep clean. Excellent value!
A leaking pipe has meant that our kitchen is wrecked and while the drying equipment works it's magic we have had to resort to alternative methods to cook.
