Excellent processor
This processor is very good value for the money I paid. It offers a few pro's and con's. Pro's it is easy to fit, it performs very well in applications that require more threads It is a 4 core processor that can be unlocked to a 6 core processor ( this depends on what motherboard is used). The multiplier is unlocked meaning it can easily be over-clocked (depends on the bios used on the motherboard) Con's Some motherboards require to be updated or replaced to fully unlock this processors full potential.. the processor when unlocked to 6 core its thermal design power goes from 95w to 125w.( could mean a power supply or new motherboard to fully support the CPU and run stable) conclusion overall this processor runs very well and doesn't overheat under normal conditions. its very stable and value for money (at the price I paid). .Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Amazing CPU which even today can get things done.
Great processor with easy OC capabilities. If you are building a retro gaming machine (best for games up to 2010) this will serve you very well. all things are relative!
the processor itself is very good. i installed it quite easily and had no problems, i switched on the nvidia controller and had a six core processor up and running all within an hour. the trouble then started, this is an old processor and it requires an awful lot of work to locate and install drivers that are capable of getting it to run properly with modern software. if you are going to use this processor use one of the better versions of linux. mikeVerified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Value and good Performance
This CPU is still very able even by today's standards. Some of these CPUs will be able to be unlocked to five or six cores. This CPU overclocked very well and keeps quite cool. I was able to play every game over 60 FPS with this CPU and a R9 290. If you do unlock any extra cores the power usage and temperatures do go up. Also you cannot utilize fast RAM with this CPU , I was only able to get up to 1700MHz on the RAM. At the end of the day this is a £40 that can keep up with an R9 290. The CPU overclocked very well and the unlocked cores can be nice so this CPU can easily be optimized for greater performance.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
