I have used this model of Sony Wireless Headphones for many years. They are ideal for me. This is why, over the years, as each pair has eventually worn out or broken, through no defect, I have ordered the exact same model to replace the broken ones, even though the model has been out of production for many years. I dread when I am no longer able to find this model. Gary F. Anderson

My husband had this exact model for years, but it had quit working, so we ordered this one and it would not work. He, when he saw it would not charge the rechargeable battery, hooked up his old battery instead of the new one, and now he is pleased with it. We just hope when the old battery quits on him that he can find a new battery. We have checked with the battery store here, and they do not carry that battery. Do you know where we can buy one, as this old one may quit on him and then he won't have a working headset.

My Yamaha 7.1 receiver has a headphone mode that mutes the speakers as soon as you plug these Sony's in they sound great and I do not keep everyone up all night. The secret to avoid distortion and white noise is to turn the Yamaha up to 0 decibels the turn the Sony headset up to 1/4 volume they fit well and are comfortable. I did my research and these are a good value I have had wired studio quality head sets in the past and these are just as good for the average home user. Plus the unit has channels I had interference from my WiFi but switched channel and the buzz went away.
I use these headphones to listen to TV when I am on the treadmill. I mute the TV so I don't bother my wife and listen with the headphones. They work great. I do not notice any stray noise when the TV is on. Volume control is sufficient that I can hear clearly. The headphones are comfortable. The only thing I don't like is the attempt at proprietary battery and the fact that the charger isn't smart it simply charges for 16 hours if you place the headphones in the cradle. I was able to use my own rechargeable batteries by taking the Sony batteries out of the charging module and inserting my own. So I'm reasonably happy with that. I put the headphones in the cradle backwards when I don't want to charge the batteries.
These are nice. I went from cheap $12 wireless to Sony and what a difference. They were worth the money. Love the comfort and the automatic on and shut-off when you put them on your head. Also the rechargable battery is great since I was constantly feeding batteries in my old pair. The sound is great, but the volume control could take the sound up a little more. I only gave them 4 stars because of that.
