Professional Guitartec Review
Grover Rotomatics 102s have not only been an industry standard on many new guitars for years, they are also the most sought machine heads that players turn to when upgrading their axe with standard machines. Rotomatics come in either the older 14:1 ratio or the newer 18:1 ratio as well as 3 finishes; Nickel, Chrome and Gold. Grover claims the more precise 18:1 ratio feels more precise, is smoother and has less "backlash" (which is the slop you might feel between loosening the tightening a string), but the older style 14:1 feels great too. Only very old used die cast machine heads have any backlash worth mentioning, and even they still tune just fine if you tune your guitar properly.
If you want a great set of conventional die cast machine heads, this is a great choice.
BTW, I have seen many fake Aisian-made Grover Rotomatics on guitars like Chibsons. They usually have the word Grover on them and a 2-piece cast knob that you can see the manufacturing line. Real grover knobs don't have this line. Guitartec
