I like it, is a great camera. The fact has manual lens and zoom feels fantastic using. Just find all this cameras with to many settings and confusing, I'm a pro photographer and don't like to many setting in cameras always use the manual and after in the computer do the twits I would like not on the camera. My experience with the other compact cameras where you see the result of the light on the monitor before you press the shutter in the xf1 you only see after the shoot was taken. :(
As noted before a very good camera with excellent quality especially in low light due to larger receptor BUT twist and pull lens has inherent problems. after light use lens failed to alter aperture repaired under guarantee . but now displays " lens communication fault" . if you turn off shake prevention it will work again but i'm afraid it will let you down which is a shame. it seems i am not the only one to suffer so do your research before buying

Great camera . Many of camera users faced "lens error" problem. This is due to flexi cable connecting lenses with main board. Problem is very easy to be sorted by replacing this cable which you can get for £6-£8. Otherwise it's real gem!

check the amazon reviews. In common with many other purchasers mine started locking up and showing a 'lens error' after about 18 months of occasional use. AVOID

Looking to solve the " Don't want to lug around a heavy DSLR all day " problem, and having found myself often reaching for a small compact to take out, I've naturally been looking for something that is very portable but also very clever. I've had the XF1 a matter of days. I love being able to tweak all settings for both B+W and colour, and save each in the two 'C' settings. I would be happy to have this if the Auto /just point-and-shoot mode was the only option, as the images are so darn good and it adjusts to meet any situation you may want to photograph. As it is, I have the bonus of huge customizing ability. Macro? Check. Superb, high-contrast black & white? Check. Rich colour and sharpness? Check. Low light? Check. And all this in a package that fits in your pocket. Negatives? Forget it, I'm not arguing with this camera for the sake of it, it's too good and even less-so as it's such a bargain, though it would be a good idea to get a second battery.Read full review
I bought this camera because I red positive reviews about it. In most reviews is rated as an "above average" camera. I really like that despite the relatively old sensor and lens the camera does it's job well for a reasonable price. In specific circumstances you can make DSLR-like pictures with the Fuji XF1. You will not find anything in this price range, which is able to do even similar good photos. To get similar quality you have to pay at least double money for a different camera - in this case I'm not talking about different features like zoom, gps, wi-fi or tiltable screen - it's about image quality only. What this machine does should be good enough for even more enthusiasted photographers. Highly recommended. The EXR sensor does an excellent job.
Perfect little camera that takes excellent photos, easy to carry about and use. Would recommend to anyone.
