Magic in a bottle!. Saved me £1000's.
After being faced with a bill of at least £1500 to replace the Mechatronic unit in my Kuga Powershift DCT gearbox I decided to give this Seafoam Hydra Trans a go. The oil had been replaced 15,000 miles ago (service is every 37,000) but still the "Transmission Limited Function" raised it's ugly head, P0766 (odd clutch modulation solenoid stuck). With nothing to loose I dropped the oil for fresh (5.5l) changed filter and added 700cc of Hydra Trans. The car was on the drive and practically undrivable at this point!. After 10 mins warming up and nudging forward/ reverse on the drive it felt 100% better so I decided to go for a tentative drive round the block. Everytime it shifted it felt smoother and setting off from a stop was nice and smoth rather than a clunk and go! 30 miles on and the gearbox is good as new, I am amazed the Seafoam Hydra Trans work at all due to the severity of the fault, let alone this quickly!. Will be adding a bottle on every fluid change now as a conditioner. Anyone with a faulty DCT/ DSG gearbox needs to try this before spending £1000's on having it repaired!.

Power steering tune up !
I used this product to clean out power steering system . I had my power steering rack overhauled after it leaked and steering went heavy, On refitting the overhauled rack the steering still didn't feel quite right a little notchy and not smooth in operation after using the seafoam Hydra trans tune it solved the problem and restored normal operation of the power steering system . I was sceptical at first after watching it used on a youtube video. I was delighted that it worked perfectly . Aparently it cleans out any residue wich may impede valves etc, in the system. It worked for me , but it depends on the problem you have . Well worth a try instead of taking out the power steering rack again. I am not sure if the pump was not quite right but now it works fine . Helped my power steering!
I have an ageing Lexus IS200 that developed very stiff power steering (expected for age I guess). Before taking it in for probable recommended replacement of steering pump and rack&pinion by the stealership I gave this a go. Well, it only went and worked! It must have liquefied any hard deposits/varnish inside seals/tubes etc that along with a very small initial part-replacement of the steering fluid has made a definite improvement to the ease of steering. I'm now gradually replacing more of the fluid every few days with new ATF (what the IS200 uses for steering fluid) so as to try to remove the liquefied deposits best I can so it doesn't re-harden.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Does what it says on the tin.
Used as suggested to flush very noisy and failing Mk4 Mondeo power assisted steering, along with changing the fluid reservoir tank (original versions have a concealed filter which get clogged). Result silent efficient steering! Cheap easy potential solution compared to replacing pump and /or rack and still potentially having the problem. I did not expect it to work but nothing to lose so I tried it and am pleased to say that it had performed very well. My power shift gearbox is now a lot smoother than at any time I've had the car. It had been into Fords for a gearbox service prior to using seafoam but it was not until I used seafoam did the gearbox improve. Probably the worst product for your auto...
