As you would expect for the price, this is a cheaply made machine and I have no illusions that it will outlive a quality tool, however, I only occasionally need this facility so expect it to last long enough. The flexible abrasive supplied is fine and seems to give a nice brushed finish on stainless. I have used it for finishing very hard Walnut as well and it leaves a nice smooth finish without burning or scoring. As I need to sand a fair area of wood I have fitted a 60grit flapwheel from other suppliers and I am very impressed. It rips the surface off faster than my 4" belt sander but leaves no scoring or burning. It wont' of course' flatten the surface so if you need a freeform finish smooth and free from tool marks or scoring' this is the tool. Performance wise, I'm impressed. Treat it as disposable as I don't imagine it will last years but for the money I'll live with replacing it in a year or two. Final word, wear all your ppe! You will be enveloped in a cloud of fine dust which extraction will not handle. Don't inhale it!Read full review

We are busy restoring some old oak beams and this machine is really good at removing lose debris caused by old woodworm and rot. We haven’t used the supplied burnishing ‘brush’ but invested in coarser brushes which look like dark grey wire. The machine is well made and a great price for something that does the job . Comes with spare carbon brushes should they ever need replacing. I have three small criticisms, the instruction book isn’t very clear and seems to be for a different model. Secondly, the top handle does come lose and intermittently needs tightening, thirdly, the cable is a bit short and you need an extension to reach a ceiling, otherwise it’s powerful and efficient and a fraction of what you could pay from a named manufacturer. I would have no hesitation in recommending this machine.Read full review

Excellent bit of kit for the price. Not sure how long it will last but at the price if it only did one job it is good value. Similar machines of commercial quality are up to £500. Shop around and you can get various types of wheels for it for around £15. The wheel that comes with it is not an abrasive flap wheel its a burnishing wheel, gives a fine brushed finish to stainless steel
