Well made Functional Aluminium Yagi
I bought this to use as a part of wireless repeater setup to pick up the remote WiFi on my caravan site, used in conjunction with a Linksys WRT54G router (flashed with DD-WRT firmware) I now have a healthy WiFi signal and good working internet something I didn't have before. The DD-WRT firmware on the Linksys router would show a 2-5% WiFi signal using it's natively fitted small antennas, once one of the antennas was replaced by this Yagi and then directed toward the WiFi source I had 25-27% signal. Only issue with the Yagi is the mounting plate/bracket which is far too flimsy, when bolted to a pole the clamps bend and deform the plate/bracket with little effort, some pressed ribs or a thicker pate would solve this. Disapointing
Prompt delivery which was good. Unfortunatly discovered that the aerials had minimal to zero reception and the standard router aerial had more gain, took them apart, removed the pretend balun and remade the coaxial connections and suddenly we had gain and it did as required, Had to do this on all three aerials purchased so this was not a one off. It was lucky that I tested the aerials before fitting them on my roof or I would have been wondering why there were no mesh signals being received.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

small and lightweight, looks great on a pole from the eaves

Does not work.
The signal with this antenna is no stronger than with no antenna connected at all! Do not waste your time with this. I guess it is cheap for a reason but certainly no better than the 4inch stock antenna. Works just as well for cutting hedges as it does as an antenna.

You Need too read
The aerial does boost the signal as it states I found a vast improvement than without it, you need too take note the end is only female as was the one on my router, I used a small piece of cooper wire as a male and joined the two and worked well.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

poor antenna .. waste my money .
its not 25 dbi antenna .. my elfa 5 dbi antenna catch 16 wifi near around my home .. and this 25 dbi antenna pick up only 12 to 10 wifi signals .. i wont recommend to buy this ..Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
