Simple but well-made product
I've been living in my house for about years now and have never washed my ~27-year-old, white, aluminum gutters. They've gotten pretty moldy and grungy looking over the years so I figured it was time to do that. I bought an 8'-24' extension pole from "Mr.. Long Arm" and picked up this pad for the cleaning. The pad is pretty similar to your typical car wash mit. It has a bed of twisted, microfiber tendrils and a firmer microfiber backing. I filled a bucket with hose water, hosed my gutters, and then scrubbed them with the smop. After a scrub I hit the gutters with the hose again and just about everything came off. You could certainly use a cleaning chemical with this thing, but except for the most stuck-on stuff I really don't think it's necessary. I have plants and shrubs under my gutters and didn't want to risk burning them with a cleaning chemical so I just used water.
