I bought this to replace a retail bought tube that I had cut to a length years ago and now needed a longer flex hose so as to move the water butt to a place further from the drainage down pipe. The original tube looked like joined up hoops. When cut to size, this ledt an even flat circular end of the correct diameter to fit perfectly and easily where required.. This replacement that I bought was flimsuer, bender ad collapsible and the reinforcement is a continuous spiral which produces an offset circle where cut. Because of the qualities I have described, it proved impossible to simply push into place. At the drainpipe end which I fitted first. I had to lubricate with oil in order to forcefully twist that end on. Same problem at water butt end but twisting was not an option now that the other end was a fixed one. Oil didn't work. The opening was too tight and the pipe too weak and bendy. I used boiling water in a pan to soak and expand the plastic pipe.
