    Akrapovic for CBR500R

    The Akrapovic exhaust is system very well made and the materials are top grade. If you want an aftermarket system you cannot get better. That said I have a BMC filter, enlarged the throttle bodies, removed the cat, fitted this exhaust, added a power commander 5 had the bike custom tuned all for 3hp at the back wheel that you do not notice on the road. The CBR500R is not a bike you can tune, the engine design is for an A1 license and without playing with valves and valve timing or forced induction, you are simply spending money for no real on the road gain. If you want to change the looks and sound from the exhaust go for it, if it is power and torque gains you are after save your money for a bigger displacement bike.
