I read this book with a personal interest. It was honest and heart breaking. It showed how the professionals and authorities and services are reluctant to listen and learn. It showed a huge struggle that the family had to face, first with their daughters illness and the second with trying to convince the professionals about her illness and thirdly trying to get help for their daughter's illness. A truly well written book which I believe was accurate in its facts, even though the reader may find hard to ascertain with no previous knowledge of schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is a very cruel and debilitating illness and for the person suffering with this condition it is scary, isolating and they are usually misunderstood. I hope that this book will help and educate people in accepting this illness and not to turn their back on those that are unfortunate enough to be suffering with this brutal condition.Read full review
