The Beaver Lodge floods crop fields and is under threat from local farmers. Bracken and Brier volunteer to go in search of a new river. In unexpected and amusing circumstances, they come across other animals that help them out of difficulties. Having discovered a small Brook they have an equally eventful journey back. Holly, Matty & Natty then lead the challenge to build a 'Sleepover' Lodge for the young kits. Farmer Barfield helps them most but Man's rubbish nearly ruins everything.
