Having used Fast Track Book 1 for some time, which is extremely good for beginning guitar playing, I found a need to progress further. Book 2 was an obvious choice and proved to be an excellent continuation to book 1. It has enabled me to use another octave in a higher register, i.e. to use the notes further down the frets. One can learn to read music and to play the guitar from these two books. I like to play the melodies, rather than background chords, as I'm too old to think of playing in a band or becoming a singer! What I have learnt from these books enables me to select songs and play them, including many of my favourites. Anyone wanting to learn to play the guitar should consider buying these books.
