Improves nail but not a cure
I'm pleased with the Mycocide. It's a topical Tolnaftate liquid, same 1% as most others. Does pentrate nail edge better than a cream and if I cut back the nail as it grows and keep cleaning underneath I have noticed a reduction in the thickness of the undernail and the discoloration. I use it once a day in the morning after showering. I don't intend to take medication to eliminate the fungus and my dermatologist feels that's fine. It's more a cosmetic issue and as I'm a guy and don't paint my nails I'm fine with just a topical treatment. Works reasonably well and it's inexpensive.
