Good basic phone
Easy to read numbers and (caller) display screen are the best features of this phone, no need to search for reading glasses every time the user needs to make a call or the phone rings to be able to read the screen. The blue back light also makes the buttons and screen easier to read. I assume the 2 rechargeable AAA batteries in each handset could be replaced with 4 new of any good brand of rechargeable batteries once they wear out, which would make the phone extra good value, IF this is possible, the batteries are easily accessible and they appear to be ordinary rechargeables. The handsets are quite comfortable to hold for extended periods of times and the sound quality is satisfactory, although can be a bit echo-y at times.
Now the bad points. The incoming call ringtones leave a lot to be desired in my opinion. I like a phone to simply ring like a phone, not play 'doorbell' melodies or high pitched bird squawks. There are supposedly 20 ringtones on these phones (there were only 10 on mine) to choose from and not one of them sounds like a phone. Also, when numbers are stored in the phonebook, a 'ringtone' has to be assigned separately to each number individually, supposedly so you know who's calling you by the tone, it's so tedious and time consuming. The phones only store 20 numbers which isn't really enough, I had 36 stored numbers on my previous handsets.
But it does what a phone's supposed to do, makes and receives calls, it's a budget price, so can't complain too much. You get what you pay for!
