A good value in bulk
Kippered herring is a good alternative to sardines which have a higher purine (uric acid) content that gives people the risk of contracting gout. While herring also has this substance, it is lower than that of sardines. It is a good source of omega 3 fatty acids without the priceyness of salmon. This particular brand is the best I've tried.
