I didn't know what to expect but when the small amount of the starter arrived, I put it in a 1 litre glass jar, added the mixture of flour and water and left in a warm place for 12 hrs. Not long after adding my mixture it started to bubble. My first ever bread came out perfect! I've done about 5 large ones since! Everyone loves it! Everyone says it's the best bread they had! Great thing about it is, I have an endless supply of sourdough mixture, providing I'll look after it and 'feed' it once a week!

Having researched on Google and read that proving sour dough bread takes many hours longer than when baking with yeast, I was a little nervous embarking on baking my first sourdough loaf.
