Excellent but not generic arca-swiss compatible!
Review of manfrotto elements (small) with 8 kg load bearing arca-swiss ball head. I bought this manfrotto elements in the hope of attaching my camera with an arca swiss L plate adaptor— I couldnt! The tripod is light weight, well constructed and ticks every box. It is expensive because it is Manfrotto brand and is of good quality. the only letdown was the ball head. The ball head has a arca Swiss plate.. but has a projecting screw that means you have to use the adaptor provided.. and can’t use third party appliances. None of the other brands do so! Shame on you Manfrotto!! Though it is my fault for not looking at the fine print and images before purchase.. I am sure they have been aware of this right from the beginning - design stage to production. I even tried to use a hex key to remove the plate and attach another— however it was near impossible to remove the plate because the screw that held it was extremely tight and I couldn’t remove it at home. So I ended up ordering another ball head. A complete waste of time, effort and money!

Once again, lost chance for a good tripod. But it is ok. So-so
This tripod has a design flaw. The fixed center column (why oh why?) does not slip down through the tripod, it can be removed but the remaining ballhead cannot attach to the rest of the body (to so called 'spider' or central hole at the top of the legs joint). Actually it can attach to it, but just few threads are missing to make this a stable option. Otherwise it is not a Manfrotto type of feeling once You try it. It works for small cameras just fine but the wind will always be Your enemy no matter how light the camera is. It is compact but the cheap tripod bag cannot cover it completely unless legs are moved to the vertical position. The lowest leg section is very thin. You can try but I would use this for up to 1kg. There is some kind of lubricant on leg segments so try to use rubber grip and avoid touching the aluminium parts. Far away from Manfrotto pro equipment feel.
