Exactly what I needed to vacuum seal jars of dehydrated herbs! It looks to be brand new and is large enough to easily hold a quart-sized jar. It works with a vacuum hose on my FoodSaver vacuum sealer. Wish I'd known about this product years ago! It eliminates the need for oxygen absorbers, and I've actually heard a couple of jars make that little "ping" in the Tilia container. Excellent!

These vacuum canisters are a great addition to the accessories that work with my FoodSaver, which I use nearly every day. I use these canisters for food, but also for additional vacuum sealing of reusable/resealable jars. Fill the jar, hand tighten the lid, put the jar in the canister and attach the vacuum accessory as normal. Once the process ends, remove the jar and see that the vacuum helped reseat the lid onto the jar like it was when new and unopened. It works to extend the life on anything you would like to keep shelf stable a bit longer, or air free within the refrigerator. Removing the air always helps!
