I purchased the clock because I have one and it is easy to use. I have an elderly brother-in-law who gets confused about daylight savings time and how to set the clock when the power goes out. You don't have to worry about any of these things with the smart clock. Once you set it to your time zone and the correct date it will automatically set itself if the power goes out, it gets unplugged or when there is a change in daylight savings time. It has an alarm that can be set to a tone or to the built in radio. It also has a lighted display so you can check the time night or day.
