So much easier to use and get a reliable reading than the bent end type. And has very clear calibration.

I was hoping the calibrated graduations would be same as my previous gauge of this type, but they are a little smaller and may be hard to read for some. However the accuracy appears within 2lb/sq" of another gauge I have. The only real down side, or disappointment is that the engraved graduations/numbers protrude slightly and prevent a true smooth sliding action; this may be causing the slight under-read as mentioned above. May benefit from a rub-down with emery cloth! Since this is of the 'straight' type, it is in my view, easier to hold against the valve while taking a reading, without air leaking and causing false readings.

The Gauge is very easy to push on to the valve on the tyre. I tried the gauge out on one wheel, taking three reading one after the other. The results were 32psi, 38psi and 44psi. I checked the pressures on all types using the car's built in system which (can only work after driving for a few minutes). This showed 36psi. So not very accurate or consistent. If it was consistently the same amount up or down all the time, it may be useful, but with a -4 to +8 variation it is not of much use.

It has minimal moving parts and is very easy to use because of it being totaly straight. I find that using a guage with a 45 degree angled valve causes me to let half the air out of the tyre before i can get a reading. Simple old school reliable and no electronics.
