  • heating my art room!

I have a little 'art room' in my garden. It's an old shed really that I inherited when we moved but I now use it for my art. I wanted something that I could heat the room all the time in the cold weather, just to keep out the real cold and prevent the paper from being damaged and this little heater does the trick. It is easy to install, cheap to use and a perfect size. I love it.

  • A cheap to run little heat source

It give a gentle heat, safe to put inside small close spaces (like closets) without the risk of fire, and it wastes very little electricity, which is a must for people like me who really need to save on the electricity bill. Don't expect a big heat radiating from it, since that isn't it's purpose.

  • Just the job.

After a bit of tweaking, I managed to set the temperature perfectly for the damp corner of my bedroom inside a well ventilated fitted wardrobe. I checked it 2-3 x/day for about a week of variable weather conditions to see if it was warm and adjusted it to suit. Finally it’s perfect and comes on when it’s colder and turns off when it’s warm and dry. We’re really pleased with it. I’d love to have the option of a grille over the tube just for extra safety in case any clothing falls from a hanger. I intend to make one just for reassurance.

  • Great product ideal of all those applications in greenhouses etc that needs a small heater - great value for money!

The 12" Tubular 40W heaters are ideal for use in metling honey from wax, when its not possible to extract using a honey spinner. I made a honey metling wooden box that fits a 14 by 12 national Bee hive - the melting unit sits on the bottom with two 12 tubular heaters and a 60W convention light bulb the box is lined with refelective insulation, the heaters are controlled by an external temp control with a temp sensor, honey suppers can be stacked up to increase the height, a queen excluder is used so plastic tubs can be heated when with honey that has become solid, after heating at 40C for 24b hours the honey becomes runny and can be used to filter and bottle. I re-order another two of these great Tubular heaters to make another honey melter, the pictures shows the Tubular heaters, some wax with honey, and the temp controller, construction of a melter using these heaters can save hundreds of pounds.

  • Great product for intended use

Cheap and effective way to keep a (very) small area warm or a (slightly) larger area frost free. At 40W (which I have tested) it costs as much as a lightbulb, 1kWh a day ... so 15p. But, the thermostat function allows you to set it to only come on when you need it at low temps if it is used for intended use of keeping frost and damp at bay in small and enclosed areas. Great product!

  • Efficient Tubular Heater

Bought this to fit in the airing cupboard after the HW cylinder was removed as we had a new combi boiler installed. Very good product, compact and easy to use and install. Gives off plenty of heat too.

  • A compact heater for frost protection.

I purchased this to provide frost protection in my motorhome and it has worked well. The thermostat doesn't switch the unit off until the temperature is 10 degrees or so whereas I would have preferred 5 degrees but at 40 w this is hardly a problem. The fixing kit is useful and as it is a temporary use I fitted to a board base as the wire is not very flexible and could pull the unit over.

  • Great product and worthwhile

Very good quality build quality impressed with service and product fitted into place in a few minutes and started warming with secs. The level of watt is 40 for my Product they do larger models for me personally I would certainly recommend measuring the length needed to area you need to warm, price is comparable with some others but the placement of the heat control works perfect for greenhouses due location not much to add other than check what you need

  • Lovely little heater

Installation is quick and easy, plugs in to a standard 13Amp outlet. Thermostatic control makes it easy to set the required temperature and then leave it to do its job. Great little heater.

  • Useful little safeguard.

Useful thing these. Setting the thermostat needs to be done at the temperature you need it to cut in, but at lowest setting acts as a frost-stat. This one alternates between keeping the visitors caravan clear of damp, and sitting inside the old 4x4 if the car is needed frost-free first thing in the morning.
