Not as good as a metal one
If you try using it, you will discover that along with stones, the sieve retains little clumps of earth - indeed, as soil gets cleaner, the latter dominate. Metal sieve's wires would break the clumps up; the thick, soft plastic strips of this one do not.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This si a very good item and I would have given 5 stars but for the fact that it cracked after - to be fair - considerable use! It is still useable and has done the job I needed, but at the price, it is well worth it. TIP - don't overload it - it is easier to use if you only put small amounts in and although it means more filling, less goes over the edges! Good value for what you pay. A nice size and quite thick plastic. Use it sensibly and it will last.
For the price it's good value. Big enough to do the job but light enough to handle. Not being metal just remember not to put too much in at a time. Better to put smaller amounts in more frequently. Fit for purpose
Some call it a sieve, oldies like me prefer to know it as a riddle.
