fine telescope on a shaky tripod
The telescope itself is high quality - good optics, solid tube, smooth focus mechanism. My one quibble is that the draw-tube is not long enough to focus without using the inverting diagonal. Not a real problem, but would be nice to have the option. The two eyepieces are fine - not top-of the line, but they do give nice clear images. Given the relatively short focal length of the objective lens, it would have been nice to include a barlow as well to give you better planetary viewing. My main disappointment is that the tripod head is very flimsy, so the telescope shakes like crazy for several seconds whenever you touch it - makes it close to unusable at high magnification. You'll need to get a good solid tripod to make viewing the planets feasible.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

OK the Pros and Cons: The price is great for just under £100 you can't go wrong The Telescope part is actually pretty good and you will be surprised in a good way. The Tripod is Trash sorry guys but if you even have a semi decent camera tripod it would be better. The Lenses that you get well they are pretty poor however you are spending less than £100 you can always buy a couple of lenses and a barlow lense In concluding for the price is great but you will need another tripod, couple of lenses, filters (like a moon filter) and barlow lense. The red dot viewfinder is a bit obscure, more lines than dot and doesn't always line up with what the telescope is seeing. Great beginner scope
Good starter scope for astronomy, the actual tube is very well built and that's where all the money has been invested. The tripod is very weak and flimsy and the eyepieces and right angle attachment are cheap quality but for £99 the tube alone is worth it. I'm using a new tripod/mount and already have good eyepieces from another scope.
