fine telescope on a shaky tripod
The telescope itself is high quality - good optics, solid tube, smooth focus mechanism. My one quibble is that the draw-tube is not long enough to focus without using the inverting diagonal. Not a real problem, but would be nice to have the option.
The two eyepieces are fine - not top-of the line, but they do give nice clear images. Given the relatively short focal length of the objective lens, it would have been nice to include a barlow as well to give you better planetary viewing.
My main disappointment is that the tripod head is very flimsy, so the telescope shakes like crazy for several seconds whenever you touch it - makes it close to unusable at high magnification. You'll need to get a good solid tripod to make viewing the planets feasible.
