This is good price for a brand new LG multi region dvd player, The dvd itself is small , you get a good pitchure ,as 3 coloured connection than scarts , one negative thing l would say (my opinion!),the remote control is quite small compared to other dvd remotes (half the size), if you have sight problems etc could be issue ! This plays any region dvd, thanks to these dvd players ,l can enjoy more variety of films around the world +get usa shows not released in britain l enjoyed as a kid! Best of all my asian collection ,l,d never have as many as l,ve got if not for these dvd players, so get one start enjoying more variety films!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

OK, BUT SPOILED TO SAVE A FEW PENNIES!
The player itself works fine for the money, it's extremely simple to install, small sized, and will plug into the scart socket on my TV - important as the Wii is occupying the only HDMI slot! Not only that but it does play my region 1 American version of "Miss Potter" which I have because they ruined the region 2 UK version by cutting the last line of the movie, which is the punch line, and so the whole point of the movie is lost - why, oh why did they do that?!!! But I digress - this machine would have been perfect if it wasn't for the ridiculous, cheap, tiny, and inadequate handset - it doesn't even work properly unless you like sitting close. If you live in a small flat it may not be a problem, but how much would it have cost to make a decent remote, and who would've minded paying a little extra? This is what used to be called "spoiling the ship for a ha'ppeth of tar" and it's so bad I've deducted 2 stars from an otherwise excellent score.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great price and an efficient DVD Player
I Received the DVD Player, Well Packed , and found it very easy to set up to the TV, and straight away played some of my Vintage international Science Fiction films that even my existing Multi Player would not play ,Black & White and Colour picture definition was great and played them all I try not to get into technical jargon what the DVD player will also do ,BUT it plays what I wonted it to, no problemVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Very basic DVD player, a bit noisy in operation
THE DP132 is very clearly built to be a budget model, you can tell this from the minute the DVD tray groans and creaks it's way out then once a DVD is inserted it rumbles into life. It has no problems with play back and is very easy to use - there are just two buttons on the unit, most of the controls are on the remote. If you want something sophisticated I'd suggest spending a bit more, if all you need is something to play disks in a spare bedroom then this fits the bill.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Basic, but works well
This is a very basic DVD player, it works well but certainly has no "bells or whistles". There's no display on the player itself, everything is onscreen via the TV. As mentioned in the advert there's no HDMI output, it has Composite Video and left and right audio outputs, you are supplied with a lead to take these outputs to a scart input on the TV. All in all it does work well, and picture quality and audio is good. but a bit more 2002 than 2022 So all in all a great value player, albeit a bit basic.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Box of visual delights
Quite simple to set up and use and if you have never had sky tv then you will be well satisfied. Perhaps the only negative is the slightly tedious method of recording as it asks too many options before it does what you want it to do. For £60 it delivers - pause , rewind, fast and very fast search facility and it records two programmes simultaneously but as with sky you are obliged to watch one of them until the recording finishes. Does what it says on the tin.
The unit works fine. Its small, so doesn't take up a lot of room. It can be a little bit fiddly getting discs in compared to other players I have had. It plays other regions discs, which is my main reason for purchasing this unit. The build quality looks and feels on the cheap side and the remote can be a little sluggish and annoying.
