Main reason I bought this was for the screen size and internal memory., my old Sony Xperia Z ultra 6.4 inch was getting old and slow, they had stopped the software updates etc. Performance wise, it`s fast, tons of smart features, some that are seriously very handy, some that you will hardly use, but they are there. Display quality is superb and it has twin speakers, and it`s loud. Also, for me, it`s better to buy one that`s nearly new and buy the airtime separately rather than going down the contract route, works out half the price when you do the maths. A while back, there was something in the news about a ban on U.S companies dealing with Chinese tech companies and there were worries about how this would affect this android phone. Well, no problems with the Google Play apps, or any other third party apps for that matter. Only downside is the price of the Nano memory card which are unique to Huawei, but give it a few months and no doubt they will come down to an acceptable level. Not that big a phone. Currently have a Lenovo phab 2 pro which is big and quite old. Needed NFC which was why I bought this phone plus for better battery life. Lenovo has a better picture so much louder with earphones although haven't used earphones that came with phone. My biggest gripe is when watching YouTube and the like the screen size is cropped at each end. So biggish screen but small viewing maybe something I can solve.

Ok so this is a beast of a phone, if you are interested I would cut a piece of card to its dimensions to ensure you are happy with its size, it is not for small hands. I am not going to go all technical although I could wax lyrical on how good it is. Basically this is phone for media consumption, great screen and picture, great stereo sound with Dolby Atmos, headphone jack!!!! 5000mamp battery which on light use can last me three days, ahhhhhh bliss - takes away all that worry I had with my poor battery performing Google Pixel. Feels great in the hand even for its size, very well built, great fast internals, top the of the range for its time. Chose this over the 5g version although not a huge difference in price, 5g version loses you the stereo speakers, headphone jack and you have to make do with a smaller battery!!!! Until 5g coverage is far better I just don't see the point. Did i mention the excellent cameras by Leica, class leading in its time and still really special. You will have guessed by now I really like this phone and after Four month using it I cant imagine using anything else. I have had them all, top of the range, all makes and all the quirky ones as I was an early tech adopter, now I have grown up, did my homework on what I actually wanted from my phone, bought this outright then matched it with a sim only deal and that's me sorted.
