    Dashboard mount

One of the better mounts i have purchased through EBay. Simple to use andeasy to instal. The mount just slides on hour dashboard and the phone is placed on a clip that has rubber to grip the phone to prevent it from slipping or sliding. The one thing i did have trouble with how my old tiny car and my short stature hinders me from using this mount directly center of the dashboard. So while driving all i see a my phone directly in my field of view. To remedy this i slid the mount to either side, so the mount sits at an angle. Some how it works for me and the placement on where it is located is out of my line of site. I currently drive a 99 Honda Civic, but for my 2007 Honda Odyssey this mount works perfectly in the center of the dashboard, due to my seat being electronic and raising well above the dashboard. But over all i am excited that i did make the choice in purchasing this product.

  • Most critical review

    Deforms quickly

While I like the design, the materials used are either poor quality, or a poor choice. It does great when you want to use your phone video to record your driving...or see who is calling and not take ones eyes off the road...it quickly deforms in hot climates. The second day the item was in my car, when I made a turn, my phone and the stand took a dive off the dashboard and lodging under the gas pedal. Ifni had to do it again, I'd bring it in every night or stay in a cold climate

  • Good but not quite Universal!

I own two Ford vehicles: 2004 Taurus and 2012 Escape. Due to a widening dash, where I guess other dashboards either remain the same or decrease in width, this mount isn't perfect. For the Taurus, it will not fit at all, as you can see in the final two photos. For the Escape, it fits- with serious snug. I think it's fine though, because it held my phone and neither moved nor rattled. I like that. Sad thing is, now I have two when I only needed one, AND my second vehicle has none at all. It's a 4-star due to not being quite 'Universal'.

  • Mostly good

This pertains mostly to those in hot weather areas like Southern California. The clip adheres very well to the dash when first installed. Leaving it installed with the hot sun beating down through the windshield renders the clip to change its shape. After about a week, the mount will slide off the dash and land in the drivers seat or passenger seat when making a turn. The solution is to remove your GPS and push the mount into the windshield and dash when it is parked in your driveway. This will bring back the mount close to its original shape. Also when not in use, remove the mount and place it somewhere in the front. After I did all this, my satisfaction with the mount went back up and works as it should. If you make a small change in your pre-driving habits, the mount will perform as advertised. In my 2013 Focus, I found it better to mount it over the radio display instead of behind the steering wheel. This allows the front seat passenger to input any changes to the GPS and allow you to concentrate on driving.

  • Nifty Item!

It would've been perfect, and I would've given it 5 stars - if it didn't have a somewhat tilt-back stance once it is deployed. Your Phone doesn't face you perfectly squarely, but rather it tilts slightly upward instead...I have used ALL SORTS of holders for the phone - air vent, cup holder, dashboard, and windshield types...This one is one of the best I have tried. Well-made, tough, and holds the phone very snug. And it even opens just wide enough to accept an iPhone plus with an Otter box case over it, so...For the price it can't be topped. Just wish it faced me 100% squarely, rather than at a very slightly upwards angle. I am still glad I got this holder none the less...

  • Looked unique and seemed to make sense

This product got my attention by its unique design especially among dash mounted or window mounted holders I got 4 of them and 3 have in operation since the day received. They work very well better than any other holder I've tried. They will hold GPS units and smartphones with ease. NO SUCTION CUPS TO WORRY ABOUT DROPPING OFF THE WINDOW. Only one thing to be aware of: many dash edges are angled steeply and have slippery vinyl so the clamp has a tougher time to hang onto the dash. I suggest a thin piece of grippy material ,like tenura sheet, to help it stay secure. I would buy more if needed. I will NOT be buying any more suction cup devices!!!!

  • Lightweight, Inexpensive, Does as advertised

Look, it's about $7 tops for a clip that holds even the largest phones (I have a Google Pixel 2 XL, it would have held my old Galaxy Note 4), it stays on the dash very secure without trouble. My only gripes are that the rubber pad was not glued on very well and comes off, but only when it's not attached to the dashboard. When it's mounted, it doesn't slide unless you really want it to, and it only blocks a small portion of both the speedometer and the bit of windhshield directly in front of me, but surprisingly much less than I though it would. It will block significantly more windshield if you sit really low in your seat.

  • Better option

I've tried many types of phone mounts and this one might be the best idea. The vent clips aren't sturdy but position the phone well. The cup holder mounts are very sturdy but unless the cup holder is forward placed in your vehicle, you are constantly taking your eyes off the road. This clip design puts the phone in a good spot on most cars and is well made and sturdy. I recommend giving it a shot if your car's dash is positioned right.

  • Universal mount

Decent quality. Rubber phone grips already showed signs of separation once I unpackaged. May have to E6000 them. Depending on car you can put it in various places.

  • Best car mount to hold your cell

This cell holder stays put. It's rock solid . You can't move the holder or the cell even while runing over a pot hole in the road , stays firm and more reliable tan other ones out on the market. Remember to remove it when the sun is out and the heat rises in the summer in your vehicle. The side panel on the box tells u to do this. I 2 old recommend this to anyone who's got a valued cell phone and wants it to stay put in your vehicle. Cheap to but the material material is rugged where it won't slip off and your cell won't fall off either. Well worth it and came from California to kentucky in just 5 days standard mail.
