Great product that makes rimfire hunting an short range shooting a joy!
Leupold has made several versions of this rifle scope; this is the latest model. You ca buy less expensive scopes, but this rifle scope is worth every penny. i have always had great service out of the Leupold EFR line. Leupold VX Freedom EFR. Good but not great!
I bought this scope because the VX2 is no longer available. This scope has glass that equals the VX2 IMO. The big differences other than appearance is turret adjustment and focus adjustment. The AO ring rotates well over 360 degrees on the Freedom. You have to rotate the focus ring almost 360 degrees to go from min to max and it has no stop so you can keep rotating another half turn or more. For comparison, the scope that the VX Freedom replaced which is the VX2 focuses from min to max in 120 degrees and has stops. Turret adjustments are a little mushy as well. This is a good scope but the best I can give it is four stars when comparing it to the other Leupolds I own. Leupold could have done a little better in these two areas. IMO Neither of these two issues are deal breakers but I felt they should be mentioned just in case you have a VX2 and are expecting the scope to function the same. This is a quality scope which is bright, clear and light weight and backed by the Leupold warranty which is second to none.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Finally A Rimfire Scope That Meets All My Needs
They say threes a charm. I went through 2 other scopes until I found this scope. Was looking for an adjustable parallax for 50ft Sporter Rifle shoots and a scope that I could easily shoot off the bench to 100yds. Weight is critical when shooting Sporter rifle and this scope weighs only 12.01 ounces. I have it installed on a lefthanded CZ 452 American. The only problem I had when researching scopes was the the unfriendly search engine on Leupold's website. I didn't find this scope until I searched the entire site. It never came up when I searched for Rimfire scopes. I intend to inform Leupold of this soon.

Good moderate priced scope
The Freedom line replaced the VX1 and VX2 scopes. Optics are very good and it has a parallax focus feature. Not quite the feel of the VX3 and up but good scope for the money and also built in the USA.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This is a rugged scope,perfect for air rifles!
I have this on my R1 air rifle.It focus's down to 10 yards,glass is very clear! It has has a fine duplex reticle which is perfect for me shooting 50 yards and under.Not a lot of clutter trying to find your target.It's only about 12 in. long, so it's not a big ole gaudy looking thing sitting on top your rifle.The two most important things is;It has a lifetime warranty,and i have shot over 4,000 pellets through mine and it still holds zero! Good scope.
Compared to my vortex and other optics, the lens coatings are the main difference. It is like cheap sunglasses and expensive polarized ones. Major difference for light transmission and clarity at distance. Worth the money.
