Protac
First off, prepare for wall of text, but there is a lot to cover. Great light. Use it every night as a night shift Police Officer. While the job is inherently dangerous, this flashlight helps alleviate some of the danger by providing bright light whenever needed. Whether it is being able to clearly see drivers/passengers on traffic stops, or simply walking around dark areas on calls for service, this light does the trick and it does it well. Another nice feature this flashlight has, is its multifunction button. 2 taps allows for a strobe light, while 3 rapid taps gives a slightly less bright light. I personally use the slightly less bright light for searching bags, or other objects where the brightest setting kind of blinds me or basically makes it so objects aren’t easily visible due to reflections or simply being too bright. Battery is more than capable of withstanding 12 hour shifts (which is what I work). I usually charge it when I get home and by the time I wake for my next shift it’s ready to go. If I do forget to charge it, it comes with a usb charging cable which makes charging it in the patrol car highly convenient. It will not charge as fast as being plugged into a wall, but it definitely comes in handy in a pinch. My only gripe (which is a bit picky I will admit) is that the carrying case it comes with is a little cheap as it is only Velcro. Would be great if Streamlight would come out with a sturdy Kidex holder for this light to purchase separately. Other than that I see no flaws so far. At just around 75 dollars this is a perfect flashlight to use everyday. I once spent 160 dollars on another flashlight only to have it fall off my duty belt and become someone else’s light. I won’t mention what type it was, but it was also a great flashlight, however, at 160 dollars it was quite a loss. So for around 90 dollars less this light performs just as good, is a bit smaller and won’t necessarily be such a kick in the gut if it’s lost. Unit Purchased is Not Performing To Specification
This light is rated at 1000 lumens, my particular unit is not demonstrating that level of output. I have a Streamlight TLR-HL rated at 800 lumens and it is easily brighter than this ProTac HL. The light is bright enough, but does not live up to its 1000 lumen rating. I contacted Streamlight, I was advised to send the unit in for repair and in the future purchase only from reputable dealers.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The brightest for size,durable,and super reliable. Will not regret
This is an amazing flashlight. This is my second one. Still have the first and has never failed me. This is about the brightest light for the size. This is a 1000 lumen monster with 27000 candela. It is super bright with 330m throw. I love this durable reliable light. I have carried so many different lights as EDC and this tops them all for size, durability, reliability, and brightness. This is a heck of a light. I used to use Surefire scout but not after the first time I used this light. Not only does it exceed in the priority department of the listed above, but price and customer is top notch. I have to have brightness, reliability, durability, ease of use, and a reasonable size. Get the charger!!
Great light, but buy it with the stream light charger sold separately. Using several different USB chargers of different outputs, none could get it to show a full charged condition (green light). I called streamlight and the sold me the right charger for $10 plus shipping. Now works great (green light). Charging
It is my fault that I did not research the product. A friend told me about it. So I bought it. It is a very bright light I used it for three nights on the job. The only problem is you have to take it apart to charge the battery. Once again my fault for not looking at this before I bought.
