Great saw but!!!!!
When I saw the info all it’s description I thought this dewalt dws709 would cut wider boards like stairs treads n stuff one of reasons I bought but NO It doesn’t not cut 14” like the dewalt dws779 🤦♂️soo if u read the details I does say it same thing on the other dewalt dws779 so they’re different saws but same info so I got f....up on that one 🤦♂️bought because it’s lighter ,dws779 it’s very heavy The Dws709 only cut 10”3/8 have to flip the stairs treads in order to finish cutting 😩 it’s a great saw works good but if u do stairs treads don’t buy this one dws709😤wish I didn’t bought it but iam gonna keep its not worth the trouble to return it!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A great miter saw at a great price
It was time to replace my aging 20 year old miter saw and as a fan of Dewalt power tools I knew it was going to be a Dewalt. I am VERY impressed with this piece of machinery!!! I have been looking at miter saws for a long time now and finally decided to get one. This unit is the nicest piece of wood working equipment I own! It's the same great quality from DeWalt and I got this saw for about half the price! It is user friendly and swivels to create multiple compound angles with ease. It comes with about a 5 foot long cord for easy electrical socket reach too, I have already used it to build a pair of folding multiple use saw horses and I love the fact that I can use one saw in my shop to make all of my compound angle cuts without having to remove the blade guard and reach way back into the machine like I do with my radial arm saw. Very good saw for the money.
This saw is as good as the more expensive DWS780. It does not have the light and it doesn't cut as wide material as the 780, but by adding a sacrificial board under the material being cut does allow it to cut wider material.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
