Definitely worth a shot for the money!
This part genuinely is easy to install with all the bolts provided, there is a good YouTube video that shows you how to replace it. As many other peoples cars mine had warm air blowing through the vents no matter if I turn the aircon on or off so I brought my car into a garage to get the system refilled, the guy plugs the machine up and says it shows full already, tried troubleshooting with the fuse and ended up plugging in the diagnostics and all shows up as being fine... So we notice the bolt in the middle of the aircon compressor pulley sticking out a bit and the mechanic just says this is a weak point on one of these, we will have to order a new compressor and empty and regas the system at a crazy cost...could not sleep that night so I went on forums that night looking for alternatives and came across this part. Arrived the next day, half an hour or so later I had a nice cold aircon again! Most of that time I spent taking off the plastic arch liner and putting it back on. So if you are handy with your spanners this is a quick and easy job! I used some threadlock (not included in the set) to make sure that the new bolts don't come out. Notice the stripped splines on the old part, this is what happens when the bolt holding it down loosens.

Especially helpful was the information contained in the eBay listing, which was invaluable in diagnosing the problem before purchase and very useful in giving an idea of what is entailed in replacing the component. Top Product, easy to assemble!
This is so simple to use and to assemble to the compressor, it took me one hour to do - even with the Webasto heater installed. And it worked instantly. It saved me a lot og money, about 2200 EUR. I reused the 3 screws securing it, because I thought the new ones was a bit short... I'll buy another one just to store it for possible future use, for me or others!

Don’t let VW rip you off !!!!
So the compressor stopped working and Vw don’t sell these parts separately. Best part of a grand they want. This replacement part fixed the issue (common fault that Vw know about) for only £30. Easy fix for Delphi compressor
I was going to get a cheaper version but this is of superior quality and the product support is second to none, it came next day and took around 30 minutes to fit on a 2012 diesel Passat estate, I had a bit of trouble get the centre bolt out but I wedged a flat ended driver with just enough pressure to be able to undo the centre bolt Without damaging the pulley and fitting is very straight forward make sure you use thread lock when refitting and tighten adequately It fixed my air on and saved me money. Well made part, perfect fit. A lot safer and cheaper and environmentally cleaner than degassing the air con. The compressor shaft I had still had a good amount of splines left which was lucky but the new part splines were of a good depth to account for the wear. A tip is to put a dab of stud/thread lock on the centre bolt into the compressor shaft so it should help to stop a repeat of the issue. Would defo recommend the part. Brilliant repair item saved me over £1000 !!!
When my air con failed I was quoted £668 for a replacement compressor from an 8ndependant garage and £1165 from a VW dealership. This item cost £29.99 and fitted perfectly, I now have a fully working air con - brilliant. The only problem I had was removing one of the three peripheral screws that would not come out due to the torx head stripping out. I had to drill out and try a stud extractor but this just turned the screw head off so had to rely on only two screws - hopefully this will be ok.
