We have tried and tried to set it to the wave our dog would make falling into the pool. It goes off in the middle of the night and we get up and there is no wave. I looked out at the pool on another occasion and the waves were really rolling and the alarm did not go off. I am really disappointed in it. My Boston Terrier only has one eye and has fallen into the pool several times. I was hoping this was the answer but it's not.
This is so sensitive you have to dial it down to almost nothing before if will not alarm immediately after careful placement in calm water.
As if that's not bad enough a 250 pound man needs to jump in before it will alarm.. This is meant to protect against a small weighted person / animal from drowning.. it does not work well at all. USELESS!!!! its in the goodwill pile now.
