  • No Boring Rides Outta This!!

I’ve been considering getting something to ride my bike indoors. I was researching trainers that attach/ secure your rear wheel but I wasn’t too excited about having a stationary bike. I find it so boring! When I saw the rollers, I was more intrigued by the challenge aspect, and having to engage your core and focus to stay on it was interesting to me. As I researched different rollers, the Saris seemed to be a sturdy, reliable option than the others in my price range. I saw reviews where with other manufacturers, the rollers themselves would come apart or break or other build-quality issues were pretty prevalent. As well, I didn’t want to spend $300+ on something I wasn’t sure I would like/ use. This was perfect for trial and error, and I figured I could sell it if I didn’t like it. It arrived earlier than projected, and I couldn’t wait to get on it! I love it! The fear factor, overcoming that and having the first successful ride, and now working on building my stamina so I can have a good substantial ride more regularly are all things that I’m enjoying about this. Since I’m using a mountain bike on mine, the resistance is maximized so I have to keep pedaling, there’s zero free-roll at all, which increases the challenge compared to the road bike videos I’ve seen. My good friend is building a road bike for me to try on it as well, and my girlfriend has a hybrid she wants to try on it. I posted my first attempt video on YouTube for those who want to see what it’s like to go all in out of the box! I put a few progress videos there as well. Search for user wit2pz. Enjoy!
