I found the Flymo Grass trimmer to be good quality all round strimmer with the added swivel head for Edging but so far have only used it the once but seems very capable Takes a little getting used to getting the right cutting angle as i found the cutting head a little on the heavy side until you get the balance but once you have practiced a little and get the hang off it found it to be a very capable off doing a good job

Easy to put together. although the instructions are very small and not easy to follow. After using a basic Black and Decker strimmer for 30+ years i decided to upgrade. This unit is Quality all over but has some flaws IMO. Pro: excellent value for money, long lead as standard, 2 cutting lines, very adjustable for edging or awkward areas. Cuts through almost anything. Cons: It eats cutting line. Every time you stop more cable is released. Its also very heavy. After 10 minutes cutting my arms are aching. The left one from the weight, the rights from having to press the trigger so tight to keep it spinning. A younger person may find it ok, I'm 61, so my old B&D was ideal. I will keep using it to see if it grows on me, but i may have to move it on.

I have the older version of this strimmer, the new one is heavy, and the safety switch on the handle is hard to use,as you need a lot of hand presure to keep it going not comfy. The old version was a lot nicer to use. The new one will take some getting used to hence only 3 stars.

As the machine is good the same old trimming line is the same it breaks every 2 or 3 feet and is a pain to thread it in from both sides. very disappointed? wish I had just purchased a new line for my old flymo strimmer and saved a lot of money can someone please come up with a good idea instead of this spool rubbish. the line gets tied up and is hard to release it not impress at all with this part of the strimmer. ken

This strimmer blasts away anything in its path, goes right through brambles. Easy to use once you've constructed it, it all 'clicks together' ,but the instructions are dreadful. No words, just tiny diagrams, but you can fathom it out from the picture on the box! I've only tried it out for half an hour, so can't comment on longlevity, but it seems fine, good quality i think
