This Energizer cell is a single use lithium coin cell battery which can be used in a range of portable electronic devices including watches, calculators, digital cameras as well as in CMOS (complementary metal oxide semiconductor) information storage components found in computer motherboards. It can directly replace any 3V CR2430 battery found in any device. This cell, like many coin cells, utilises lithium battery chemistry. The single use battery's nominal voltage is 3V and its capacity 285mAh. Its height is 3mm and its diameter 24. 5mm. The battery's lithium chemistry ensures very limited degradation and the cell therefore retains most of its charge (95 per cent) after six years, even if unused, and practically eliminates any storage problems so making it suitable to keep spares.

Exact replacement
The batteries are of the type used in an old radio. They fitted exactly and voltage tested at the correct level. Only time will show if they last but given the original was ok for many years no problem is foreseen. All good then.

Last longer - more eco friendly
Energizer batteries last longer. I use a lot of rechargeable batteries but where they are not a possibility I want as much use from one battery as possible so I do not add too much to the world mountain of discharged batteries.These were bought for kitchen scales that weigh small amounts. One of them will give good service for this Christmas and probably next Christmas too.
