Great Scanner
I've been using this scanner to monitor marine band and atc while on holiday and 2 metre amateur band at home. It also picks up all the usual fm broadcast stations so I can listen to radio programmes. It's got good sensitivity and the squelch works well. I'm also able to save to memory a list of channels that interest me and then scan just those channels. It's a versatile little rig and I'd recommend it. Also I'd buy again from this dealer as he sent replacement batteries as the orignals on some sets had proved faulty. OK for the price
This scanner works OK but suffers the same issues as other handhelds in this price bracket, namely the need to press multiple buttons in order to set up banks of favourite frequencies. The user manual is comprehensive but shows just how complex the set up can be. In essence, quite straightforward but you do need to concentrate in order to achieve the desired result. In manual mode, if you know the frequencies that you want to monitor, then the scanner is quite sensitive and picks up transmissions from 50 miles away (in my case Stansted & Heathrow, although not ground to air). The adapter supplied allows the fitting of a 'proper' aerial, which improves reception significantly. All in all, for the price paid, not bad.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Small and lightweight
It is small and lightweight. It is my first airband receiver im not professional but for a simple use is good. Easy menu to save frequencies and to use it. The main disadvandages are that it has not keypad to insert a specific frequency and second i have the feeling that the upper knob that used to smake the selection of the frequencies, after a certain amount of operation it will fail, i mean to turn it right and to start to make like a crazy to change the frequency. Good quality for the price.
This is at the lower end of the price range for an air-band receiver and I am very pleased with the quality; it is a very solid receiver. I live about 3 miles from the airport and reception across all the local frequencies is very good using the supplied antenna.
