It's good for the price
For the price, I can't complain. It picks up a lot of false signals doesn't matter what mode it's in. What I don't like is the 2 lights on top will light (easy to see at night) up alerting you, cars around you and the police that it's picking up a signal not so stealth if you ask me, more like making sure the cop sees you and gives you ticket just for future speeding. The whole display will go into battery saving mode quite often even when you don't have it in that setting. Other than that, its ok. At least it works, I really don't drive fast enough to get a citation but have been ensuring this little guy is working in the event I do end up traveling at speeds that will get me a ticket.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

My first radar detector

Works well for the price!
Pros: The price and it works! Cons: My new vehicle (2016 Mazda CX-5) doesn't come with a cigarette/accessory port on the dashboard....located in the center console (which the power cord actually reaches!) so it looks bad draped across the car. The "port" is not switched to the ignition so it is always on (which could cause a battery draining issue!) Also the instructions for it and the indication signals are so confusing that I just turn it on and react to any signal it gives! **NOTE: The new cars have so much accident avoidance, braking assistance, etc. that I don't know if that affects how the unit works. I purchased mine for $30 so at that price, it's cheap insurance to avoid getting a ticket which will cost you a lot more in fines and added insurance costs. As cars become more advanced, there will be fewer and fewer accidents and local governments will have to look elsewhere to fill their budget shortfalls.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
