Overall, it's OK for the price I paid. Always hard to compare and know without trying other brands side-by-side...
The sound is certainly better than my 61-key keyboard, which is great. It seems this is lesser-features model, but given the much lower 'refurb' cost I paid, it is OK. If I paid full price for a new unit, I likely would return it. Keyboard was delivered without any headphones, but Donner was extremely responsive, and compensated me right away. But the cons: - I find that the 'weighted' keys seem to have a bit of an overly exaggerated feel to them when pressed...but I don't have a real piano to compare to, so I can't quantify it... - The keys also make a slight mechanical 'thud' sound when released, almost as if they bump lightly against a stop-surface inside?? A bit annoying. - I was disappointed there appears to be no way to store a recorded song to prevent recording over it (or the manual doesn't mention it?) - The instruction manual is very minimal, and lacking as to any description of many functions, and some key-names don't match the actual keyboard keys. Practically perfect! Feels and sounds like a real piano!
This is by far the most realistic keyboard I’ve ever encountered! You can adjust the touch sensitivity, so whether you want it to feel like a real piano or like a keyboard to play around on, it’s perfect! The only thing is that I haven’t figured out how to quickly change from one noise setting to another. I’m sure there’s a way but it’s definitely not intuitive. The synth sounds aren’t the best I’ve ever heard but definitely not the worst either. This is a perfect keyboard for playing at home (if you don’t have room for a real one like me haha) or at a gig.
