Tamiya has a reputation for detail and accuracy and this series is a perfect example of this. To counter the Russian T34 tank threat, the German Tiger I heavy tank was placed into service during 1942.

  • Tamiya Tiger mid production

Tamiya have a great reputation for accurate fit and ease of construction. A word of warning to novice builders, although very easy to build it does have individual track links not the usual rubber band type. These can be awkward if your not used to them, but have the advantage of looking more realistic when complete. Overall builds into a great Tiger and has a figure included.

  • Old but easy to build. Good Tamiya kit.

I think its about a 30 year old kit now, but I still like it. Tamiya easy to build, perfect fit, missing some details like the cupola vision blocks, but for the money it's my goto for a quick Tiger kit. Dragon are supposed to be the best, but their prices are just silly. Ryefield and Border Tigers are current modern kits, but apparently still have accuracy and fit issues despite easy access to internet research and information, and modern moulding technology. I like the Academy Tiger kits as they're easy like Tamiya. It's an ageing kit, but I like it.

  • Just perfect

as expected from a Tamiya product, the details are amazing and every single piece fits perfectly. my only issue was the track as they are solid ones, you have to make them yourself which means that it is much harder to put on, harder to make them look realistic and very time consuming (which is not a bad thing) but I had loads of fun building it and would definitely buy more.

  • Tiger,Tiger, burning bright.

I have wanted a Tiger for some years, preferably a Tamiya, to go with the other Tamiya's in my collection.Zimmeriting it will be fun.I have read about the capture of the first in Tunisia and seen the one in the tank museum at Bovingdon My tank finish work was on Challrnger 2.Regards,Richardf86k.

  • Fun for even someone new to scale modelling

As someone whose only been building these for a few months I've been enjoying this product a lot, there are a few fiddly bits but that's what you should expect from most scale models overall it's a great set and arrived sooner than I thought it would

  • Great kit, needs updating.

Brilliant model as usual from Tamiya, however the tracks need updating, away from individual links. Makes painting and glueing problematic. Should be flexible tracks as per others.

  • Good typical Tamiya quality kit.

Good kit for beginners or the more experienced. Can be detailed with Photo-etch grills and "zimmerit" kit or putty from Tamiya. Not entirely accurate but close enough for most builders.

  • German World War Two tank

Tamiya kits are so pleasurable to do . And look great when finished and painted. Some fiddley bits. But goes together well.

  • tiger tank

Really good assembly. Made the basic kit and then added some enhancement. Not for beginners but all parts go together well. The assembly instructions are good.
