About this product

Product Information

All our favourite characters from Cockleberry Bay are back, including Hot, Rosa Smith's adorable dachshund, and his new-born puppies. Now successfully running the Cockleberry Cafe and wishing to start a family herself, Rosa feels the time is right to let her inherited corner shop go. However, her benefactor left one important legal proviso: that the shop cannot be sold, only passed on to somebody who really deserves it. Rosa is torn. How can she make such a huge decision? And will it be the right one? Once the news gets out, untrustworthy newcomers appear in the Bay, their motives uncertain. With the revelation of more secrets from Rosa's family heritage, a new series of unpredictable and life-changing events begins to unfold. The Gift of Cockleberry Bay concludes this phenomenally successful series in typically brisk and bolshy style and will delight Rosa's many thousands of fans.

This being the last in the Cockleberry Bay series is both sad and inevitable. From book one to this concluding book both my wife and me have loved the journey. The central character Rosa is a complex young lady who like many who have had the misfortune to be in the same or similar situation to her has grown as the series moved on to differing situations and experiences for her. She says it as she sees it, although her inexperience with some of life's problems is true to her own logic at that time. This concluding book is therefore a fitting end, or is it the begining of yet other happenings in her and all the other characters lives. This is worth the read as many problems many suffer from or have are aired without apologies. They are as it is life at its worst and life at its best. As I say, read all the series to understand the many characters journey's and we know you will not be disappointed. Thank you Nicola May for this Cocklberry Bay journey.
