I've had an ant nest under my front windowsill for years, I had pest control in last year at £99.00 and they had to come and redo it as I still had a colony of ant that was getting bigger and bigger. I. Called in the pest control again to be told they had cressed training following new legislation on chemicals and he advised me to try Nippon gel, I followed the instructions and haven't seen an ant since.....😊

Used for 2-3 days, but very clear and runny liquid, kept running off the coin onto the ground if not perfectly level, so wasted loads. Then on day 3 or 4 I struggled to get any out and realised there was a huge congealed yellow blob stuck in the tube. Managed to get it out, but probably 3 applications worth in one blob, so yet more wasted. Then with the lid on I squished through tube for about 10 mins to redistribute, and then it was a thicker, yellow product rather than the clear sugar water I appear to have been feeding the ants for the last 2-3 days. Half a tube gone already due to it not being mixed properly inside the tube. Nothing on packaging to suggest it may separate. Disappointed.

I have several ant nests under the block paving of the drive. They are bringing sand up to the surface and in some cases causing the blocks to sink. These are black ants and are certainly common in my garden. Nippon claims to destroy nests of the common black ant. I followed the instructions and put 3 drops on a plastic lid. This was placed about 40 cm from the ant hole and covered with an upturned plant pot. The plant pot was wedged so there was plenty of room for the ants to walk underneath. I saw an ant walk up to the Nippon and then to walk away. I repeated this in 3 locations for 3 nests and waited 5 days. The Nippon remained untouched and the ants continued to bring up sand. When I lifted one of the lids there was a pile of sand underneath. The ants were piling sand up underneath the Nippon but not eating it.Read full review

Works most of the time when a group of ants will come up to it and start feeding. Some days not a single ant will go near it. It takes a few weeks to notice any difference as it has to work its way through the colony.

Seems to work but only time will tell! Instructions for use in VERY small font!! Packaging was inadequate for liquid contents. Though it was undamaged, it might well have been, given the rigours of Royal Mail
