About this product

Product Information

(1983) Dan Aykroyd plays Louis Winthorpe III, a rich, smug investment broker set up by brothers Randolph and Mortimer Duke (Ralph Bellamy and Don Ameche) in their experiment to prove that environment counts for more than breeding. Stripped of his home, money, fiancée and job, he sees the homeless Billy Ray Valentine (Eddie Murphy) take his place instead. The only person interested in helping Winthorpe is hooker Ophelia (Jamie Lee Curtis). But when the three discover Randolph and Duke's plot, they plan to get even (and rich) in John Landis's landmark, rip-roaring comedy. M,R,,HD.

  • Superb Xmas Comedy Classic!

This is a must Xmas-time classic comedy!(rarely shown on TV!) The scenario is incredibly unlikely, a tramp, that accidentally bumps into the high-flying rich man, becomes the centre of a cruel bet, by two very rich mature gentlemen investors! It made Eddie Murphy a star! who was fortunate, as Richard Pryor wasn't available to do it at the time! Don't overpay for this film though!(some prices are expensive)
