Very strong catch.
Catch has two springs they are very strong and it takes a good push to engage the catch and a good pull to disengage. It requires a solid fixing due to the effort required but will hold door very firmly. Catch may be too strong if fixing to a weak surface.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

exactly what i needed
I bought this to holdback the UPVC door to my garage, previous owner had fitted one, but it finally broke after several decades of UV exposure and daily use. I bought two of these, thinking that I would have to drill and fit it, and having a spare with same fittings would be good in future. pleasantly surprised to find the hole centres are exactly the same as the old one, even though the design is different, so no drilling required.
