HAMA UV 49mm Ultraviolet UV Filter M49mm Description: The ultraviolet filter (or UV filter) is used to absorb wavelengths that are imperceptible to the human eye but which are recorded on the film, increasing the haze effect and modifying the tone of the colors. These effects are more easily found in areas "rich" in ultraviolet rays such as at the seaside or in the mountains. Very often with color films special salmon-colored UV filters called skylight or anti-haze (1A) are used. Many photographers always use this filter on the lens, also as protection against dust and scratches.
