Simple answer to that question is yes but, they are not aimed at the same market and never were. The original Dinky toys are just that. The Dinky was designed to be played with. The stunning range of Corgi commercial lorries are to all intents designed as models. The detail is very impressive and is just about right for a model of this scale. Small items must be treated with care and they are best kept in a dust free cabinet. As a collector I have both Corgi and Dinky models to show the difference between them and certainly not to highlight which is the finer build. The build dates are forty odd years apart and it shows in the Corgi use of plastics to enhance their models to the higher level. This is only one of The Corgi Classic models of British haulage contractors spanning some twenty year period and I certainly can not wait until my next purchase.Read full review

A very well finished model of a Foden 8 wheel lorry. I particularly liked the fact it came with a representative load of crates which had the manufacturer’s details on.

This is a fine model by Corgi with the addition of crates. This represents the Coventry of earlier days and it's powerful engineering industries and support companies.
