  • Loving the Epson V370

I purchased my Epson V370 as a refurb directly through Epson here on eBay over a year ago. For frame of referenceI am on a Mac (OS 10.11.6) and it was super easy to set up. I was up and running inside of 10 minutes. Iam back because this will be a great gift for my Dad as he has thousands of images to scan to turn family photos into digital files. The scanner software - there is a bit of a learning curve but its not huge. Learn the basics and along with some trial and error you will grow to love this little scanner as much as I do. Slide scanning: I was born in 1970 and my Dad worked on Madison Ave. For some reason, perhaps lots of Dads did this, my Dad shot a ton of slides. Slides are great for Slide shows but are a bear when you want to scan and go digital. The Epson V370 has you covered. Again a bit of a short learning curve but today I scanned over 100 images including dozens of slides and images from both black and white and color 35MM negatives. It worked amazingly well. Really pleased. Scanning photo prints: The Epson V370 is the best photo scanner I have used. I have had several printer / scanner combos and have learned you give something up when you have a combo unit - even when its an Epson. I decided to go with a one purpose unit and I am glad I did. The images I get scanning prints is superior to anything I have tried before. Is it the best ever? No. however I paid less than $100 for this little scanner and for that price it blows everything else I have tried out of the water. If you are considering a slide / negative / photo print scanner I believe the Epson V370 is a solid choice.

  • Epson Perfection v370

I purchased this scanner lightly used. It has been great for my needs. Very high scan quality at this price point. I use it to scan handmade artwork. The only negative is that there is some very light, mostly imperceptible, warping that occurs in each scan. This is common with all scanners that use CCD technology.

  • Software could be better.

The only problem I have is the software. I am scanning color 35 mm negatives and it is cropping off portions of some images. I have tried a few suggested fixes I found online but have not been successful. Other than the software, the scanner works well.

  • Another excellent product from Epson.

This scanner was easy to set up and use. The software remembers the settings from the last time you used the product and that saves a lot of time. The line art mode is also very crisp and clear, as well. It sits on the table alittle different than other scanners and takes a little time to get used to, but it's all worth it in the end. It comes with all the cables you will need, so there isn't anything else to buy. Uses LED backlighting, too.

  • scan negative films

I am able to scan negative films and save the pictures on computer. Good product, easy to set up. Refurbished but looks brand new

  • Great for 35mm negatives and slides.

This scanner worked right away and was so easy to set up. I was, however, disappointed to find that it does not accept large format negatives. It is specifically set up for 35mm negatives so I have to do some gymnastics to get my large ones to work.

  • Great quality scanner for art but weird discoloration.

Really great product! Super easy to setup and great quality for art scanning. There’s just a color discrepancy when I scan that makes one side of the glass to put a yellow tinge on the scan. I’m not sure why it’s doing it, could be dirty glad or something. It not horrible to the point where the scan is ruined but it requires me to edit the discoloration in photoshop which is a bit of nuisance.

  • The ONLY scanner!!!... go no further!

The only home scanner in today's market I will consider based on past experience with Epson and other makers. I've owned half a dozen over the years and Epson is the ONLY one that I've been happy with, especially thru changing Windows platforms. This scanner is rugged and durable. The drive mechanisms don't seem to wear out and the only reason for buying a new one is to get a newer model with more features.

  • Excellant Scanner

I replaced an old scanner with this model and am very impressed with the features of scanning slides and negatives. The scanning process takes a lot more time for slides and negatives but the reproduction is impressive. I scanned 50 year old slides and the quality was excellent. You can scan 4 slides at a time and the scanner creates 4 separate files. I'm printing to an Epson photo printer so the combination works well.

  • Vertical line problem

If anybody is having issues with a vertical green or red line while scanning film, make sure there is no dust in the calibration area, I found this is a common issue but only found the solution in a flickr post. Other than that, it is a good scanner
