Well-made worthwhile addition to a machine shop
Made by a reputable company, this quill clamp allows the workpiece to be aligned to be square to the Mill head. The more usual method is to align the work to the table so that it runs true in the 'X' axis. This means that the Mill head has to be accurately trammed to be square to the table. Great tool, works with all my dials. Great for small hobby mills :)
The product is good, not great but it works. A couple of the other reviews mention that there dials do not fit in the hole, the same was for me. Although there is a dove tail slot which works just fine. Would recommend, be nice if the hole would be a little bit bigger than 4mm but the dove tail slot works great. poor quality equipment, the clamp works as expected, but the arms and linkages just don't bite and move easily even when tight. there is also the 4mm indicator hole at the end? what the hell is 4mm? Doesn't fit.
This silly tool does not fit the stems of any of my many DTIs. I doubt that it would fit any dial test indicator anywhere since it only has a 4mm hole for the DTI cylindrical stem.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
